This year for the first time every one of our 178 year 11 students gained at least 5 A*-C grades at GCSE.

This 100% success rate compares well to the national average of 69%.
Obviously we are delighted that every student reached this standard which gives them the best chance of gaining the place in the sixth form, at college or the apprenticeship which they were looking for.
This shows that we are an inclusive school where every child does matter.
We were also pleased that the proportion of students gaining 5A*-C grades including English and maths improved again with 41% of students making that standard. This improvement was partly as a result of the success of our springboard to success project which included mentoring of target students by senior staff.
More students than ever gained A* or A grades with 15% of students gaining 5 or more A*/A grades and an impressive 29% of students gaining 3 or more A*/A grades. The students with the most A* and A grades were all girls.
Andrea Pop 6 A* and 6 A grades
Keryn Hall with 3 A* and 9 A grades
Rachel Walker with 3 A* and 8 A grades
Keryn Hall with 3 A* and 9 A grades

Results at key stage 3 were also our best ever and this sets the scene for standards to continue to rise as we start life in our new building.
