Hello and welcome to the ICT department home page

Information Communication Technology is a continually changing and expanding field in today's society. The importance of being ICT literate is high on most employers' agendas. The aim of the ICT department is to develop a range of ICT skills within a business context. All learners will study ICT at KS3 and KS4.

KS3 ICT
In KS3 you will complete 6 units over two years. In year 7 you will create a virtual tour of SSCS, create material for an animal rescue centre and create a computer game. In year 8 you will create an e-time capsule, Global warming calculator and a mini enterprise project.

KS4 ICT
In KS4 you will study level 2 ICT OCR National’s, you will study ICT skills for business, web graphics, animation and web design. Business understanding and financial capability are developed throughout the units studied.

Please encourage your son/daughter to complete the home works posted on this site. Home work is aimed at contributing to and reinforcing the learning in the classroom. It is important the tasks are completed and brought to the relevant lesson, deadline dates will be given by individual teachers.
