SSCS - Languages Department

Welcome to the Languages Faculty, we are a dynamic, friendly and enthusiastic team who will help you to achieve high standards and learn about your own language and culture and also about the languages and cultures of other people.  

Our school is leading in Business and Enterprise and the and the languages faculty play an active role within both Business and Enterprise. All of our staff teach enterprise to their tutor groups and within English and Modern Languages we are embedding life skills and work skills preparing students for life in the modern workplace. 

Within the faculty we place great emphasis on presentation skills, formal and informal communication and of course language learning - all essential skills!

Courses studied in the Languages Faculty currently include English and English Literature,  GCSE (including early entry),  French and Spanish.

GCSE results in the faculty were the best ever in 2009 and with your help and commitment we intend to achieve even better progress and results in future years.
